About IGF-1 LR3
IGF-1 LR3 is an 83-amino-acid analogue of human insulin-like growth factor 1 engineered with a glutamic-acid-to-arginine substitution at position 3 and a 13-residue N-terminal extension. These modifications weaken binding to IGF-binding proteins and prolong the peptide's availability in culture and preclinical systems, making LR3 a preferred reagent when sustained IGF-1 receptor activation is required. Investigators use it to study IGF-1R signaling cascades, PI3K/Akt and MAPK pathway activation, myoblast proliferation and differentiation, and growth-factor biology in cell and tissue models. Given its size and disulfide architecture, quality control must confirm correct folding alongside purity: misfolded isomers, truncated chains, and methionine oxidation can all alter receptor engagement without being resolved by simple HPLC. Shandong Shengyuan validates IGF-1 LR3 by RP-HPLC purity of 99.2% or higher, LC-MS mass confirmation, and functional reference data, and ships each lot lyophilized with a certificate of analysis. For research use only; not for human or veterinary use.
